VOA Radiogram, 16-17 November 2013, includes Chinese at two speeds

L’ultima volta che abbiamo trasmesso i caratteri cinesi su VOA Radiogram, abbiamo notato  che i caratteri  venivano stampati   più lentamente delle lettere in  inglese. Ciò è senza dubbio dovuto alla maggiore complessità del codice coinvolto con alfabeti non latini. Questo fine settimana si trasmetterà i caratteri cinesi in MFSK32, quindi cerchiamo di accelerarlo con MFSK64. Assicurarsi di aver impostato la Fldigi UTF-8 set di caratteri.

                               

* Utilizzare l'UTF-8  In Fldigi: Configure > Colors & Fonts, selezionare il set di caratteri UTF8 ,infine Salva e Chiudi.

RSID ( Reed Solomon Identification ) serve per cambiare automaticamente la modalità in ricezione. RSID è il breve segnale che si verifica all'inizio delle trasmissioni in digitale.

Nella parte superiore a sinistra di Fldigi trovate  la casellina RxID. Cliccare in modo che diventi attiva (verde). 

Continueremo anche i nostri esperimenti con le nuove modalità a lungo interleave MFSK64L e MFSK128L.

When we last transmitted Chinese characters on VOA Radiogram, we noted that they printed out more slowly than English letters. This is no doubt due to the greater complexity of the code involved with non-Latin alphabets. This weekend we will transmit Chinese characters in MFSK32, then try to speed it up with MFSk64. Make sure you have Fldigi set to the UTF-8 character set.

We will also continue our experiments with the new long-interleave modes MFSK64L and MFSK128L.
