 Attivazione dal 21/04/ al 05/05/2019 del Nominativo speciale IO5CNPP Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, in occasione del 33° anniversario del disastro di Chernobyl, dove sono stati coinvolti anche molti nostri colleghi radioamatori, l'attivazione del nominativo è in onore di tutti i radioamatori e tutti i liquidatori che con il loro sacrificio, con la loro salute e in alcuni casi con la loro vita, hanno salvato l’Europa da un disastro ancora più grave. IO5CNPP Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant: active from April 21 to May 5 on the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, this name was not only requested for the anniversary but also for something much more important: everything comes to life from a project of Francesca Dani SWL-I450FI, professional photographer and lover of radio communications.

Since 2016 Francesca is working on "Ghosts of Chernobyl" project. Through cultural travels, spreading informations, collaborations with veterans of Chernobyl and italian schools, her project aims to honor and remember all the people who were involved in the events of April 26, 1986: those who were called "Liquidators".

33 years have passed, the memory and sacrifice of these people is almost disappearing from the collective memory of the world. After the explosion of the reactor No. 4 occurred at 01:23:45 on April 26th, the firsts to rush to tame the flames were the firefighters of Pripjat and Chernobyl. From there on, in the following months, an army of about 600,000 people will be involved in the decontamination, reclamation and construction of the safe containment building called "Sarcophagus".

In four years of research, Francesca Dani found information in which reported that some of the liquidators were amateur radio operators. Intensifying research she has found documents where it was reported with certainty the presence of 154 amateur radio involved in different tasks within the 30 km of the Chernobyl area, some even of vital importance. So it came the idea of applying for a special name on the anniversary of the events of Chernobyl, honoring all radio amateurs and all liquidators who, with their sacrifice, with their health and in some cases with their life, they have saved Europe from an even more serious disaster.

IO5CNPP Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant: attivo dal  21 Aprile al 5 Maggio nella ricorrenza del 33° anniversario del disastro di Chernobyl, questo nominativo non è stato richiesto soltanto per l’anniversario ma bensì per qualcosa di molto più importante : tutto prende vita da un progetto di Francesca Dani SWL-I450FI,  fotografa professionista e amante delle comunicazioni radio.

Dal 2016 Francesca sta lavorando al progetto “Ghosts of Chernobyl”. Attraverso viaggi culturali, divulgazione di informazioni, collaborazioni con veterani di Chernobyl e istituti scolatici mira ad onorare e ricordare tutte le persone che furono coinvolte negli avvenimenti del 26 Aprile 1986: coloro che furono chiamati i “Liquidatori”.

A distanza di 33 anni il ricordo e il sacrificio di queste figure sta quasi scomparendo dalla memoria collettiva mondiale

Successivamente all’esplosione del reattore n° 4 avvenuto alle 01:23:45 del 26 Aprile i primi ad accorrere per domare le fiamme furono i vigili del fuoco di Pripjat e Chernobyl, da li nei successivi mesi un esercito di circa 600.000 persone sarà coinvolto nelle operazioni di decontaminazione, bonifica e realizzazione dell’ edificio di contenimento che fu chiamato “Sarcofago”.  

In quattro anni di ricerche, Francesca Dani, ha trovato informazioni le quali riportavano che alcuni dei liquidatori erano dei radioamatori. Intensificando le ricerche ha trovato documenti dove venivano riportati con certezza la presenza di 154 radioamatori coinvolti in diverse mansioni all’interno dei 30 Km della zona di Chernobyl, alcune addirittura di vitale importanza. Da qui è nata l’idea di fare richiesta di un nominativo speciale nella ricorrenza del 33° anniversario degli avvenimenti di Chernobyl per onorare tutti i radioamatori e tutti i liquidatori che con il loro sacrificio, con la loro salute e in alcuni casi con la loro vita, hanno salvato l’Europa di un disastro ancora più grave.
