Quel che resta del Danish Shortwave Club International

Con la fine del 2016 il Danish Shortwave Club International ha chiuso i battenti. Per 60 anni è stato al fianco della comunità dei radioascoltatori appassionati di onde corte. Fondato del novembre del 1956 ha raccolto soci da tutto il mondo. Alla fine dello scorso anno aveva ancora 227 membri sparsi in 33 Paesi e 6 continenti.

Il mensile Shortwave News e la lettera quindicinale dedicata agli ascolti DX Window sono stati chiusi. Sopravviveranno Il Domestic Broadcast Survey e il suo aggiornamento mensile Tropical Bands Monitor, editi però in forma privata da Anker Petersen.

Klaus-Dieter Scholz pubblicherà ancora gli ascolti dei vecchi soci sul sito www.dxer.info 

Tutto il materiale raccolto dal DSWCI non andrà però perso. Resta infatti attivo il sito del club dove sarà possibile consultare tutto l'archivio del mensile e di DX Window, oltre i vecchi Domestic Band Survey e Tropical band monitor e altro ancora. Per scoprirlo CLICCA QUI

Chiude dopo 60 anni il DSWCI: trasmissioni speciali a dicembre

A fine di questo 2016 Il Danish Shortwave Club International chiuderà i battenti dopo avere celebrato i 60 anni di onorato servizio al radioascolto. Venne, infatti fondato il 18 novembre del 1956 con il nome Danish Shortwave Clubs International. Il 4 maggio del 1974 si fuse con il The Cimbrer DX-Club. Nel 1996 cambiò nome perdendo la "s" di Clubs. 

L'obiettivo di questa associazione era, in un'epoca senza Internet, avvicinare gli appassionati del radioascolto, promuovendo l'hobby in generale, ma anche gli ascolti DX (su lunga distanza).

Oggi il DSWCI conta 227 soci sparsi in 33 Paesi. Tra questi anche diversi italiani. Prima dello scioglimento sono state programmate alcune trasmissini speciali. Sotto trovate tutte le informazioni:

Il DSWCI chiuderà entro il 2016

Il noto DX club danese DSWCI - Danish  Shortwave  Club  International chiuderà a fine 2016, fondato nel 1956 ha preso la decisione di interrompere ogni attività a causa di alcuni motivi riportati nel seguente comunicato apparso su DX-Window no.540 :

Important message to EACH member of DSWCI
As you could read in Shortwave News (SWN) June in the Report from our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 09, 2015, our Board had four reasons for proposing the dissolution of the DSWCI by the end of December 2016:
1. We are close to the end of shortwave broadcasting.
2. Less time for Club work by our ageing Board members.
3. No younger members available as substitutes.
4. We intend to celebrate our 60th anniversary, before we dissolve the DSWCI. Our Club was formed on Nov 18, 1956.
You can also read in the Report, that 97% of the members at the AGM voted YES for this dissolution.

The Board has decided that the capital, which the DSWCI has saved up during the years from our members, in principle shall go back to the members in form of some free SWNs after the paid annual fee of each member runs out, instead of donating the total capital to a Radio Museum or to charitable purposes.

Today our present capital can cover the costs of producing SWN until December 2016. Thus we have decided with immediate effect to cut off collection of membership fees and acceptance of new members ! This means that you do not have to renew your membership any longer from the date, when you read this. You will get free SWN’s after your paid
membership terminates.

5th INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST
"THE GRAND TOUR ACROSS ALL CONTINENTS" 2014

This contest is held from Friday 28^th November 2014, 0000 UTC, to Sunday 14^th December 2014, 2400 UTC. It is open to all shortwave listeners regardless to their membership in any DX club.

Primary contest frequencies are from 2300 to 26100 kHz. Logs outside this range will be valued by half points.

The contest fee EUR 3.00 / USD 5.00 shall be sent together with the contest form to:

Deadline: 31^st December 2014 (date of post stamp).

Each participant will receive a contest diploma with his/her classification and a list of paricipants with their results. The first three participants will be awarded non-cash prizes.

In Part 1 listen please to any BC station of the contest country, for 15 minutes at least. For one country one log only. Unofficial, pirate and clandestine stations are not allowed.

Scoring: 1000 points of each logged country will be divided by a number of logs and rounded to two decimal places.

In Part 2 you can raise your score by listening to any DX programme. The number of DX programmes is limited to 4! No particular country limit. Scoring in the same way as in Part 1, maximum point value 100 points for one DX programme.

Note: Please mention sufficient details in your logs to be validated! Logs with general notes, such as “music”, “male talk” cannot be accepted.
