Bilingual experiment : ANOTHER DSC DECODER called YADD

Siamo giunti oramai alla versione 1.4, nel giro di pochissimo tempo, dell’ultimo decoder freeware per il DSC (Digital Selective Calling) realizzato da Dirk Claessens, già papà dell’altro ottimo software YAND per il Navtex.

In very short time we have now the last freeware version of DSC (Digital Selective Calling) developed by Dirk Claessens, already creator another great software, YAND for Navtex.

Un filtro con larghezza 1 kHz è più che sufficiente per lasciar passare il segnale di questo sistema facente parte del GMDSS relativamente alle chiamate selettive navali e il relativo riscontro da parte delle stazioni costiere. Il DSC è una variante del SITOR-B sempre a 100 baud e con shift 170 Hz che utilizza un set di 127 simboli e un forte sistema di correzione degli errori (10 bit). Le frequenze assegnate al sistema e riportate all’interno del programma per HF sono le seguenti: 2187.5, 4207.5, 6312, 8414.5 12577 e 16804.5 kHz. I possessori del Perseus potranno utilizzare la nuova funzione integrata di “scanner” attraverso le sei frequenze sopra indicate e l’eventuale “Live Plot” sull’atlante radioamatoriale DX Atlas…

A filter with band of 1 kHz is enough for send this signal , part of the GMDSS, about the maritime selective calling and coastal stations feedback. The DSC is a SITOR-B variant at 100 baud with 170 Hz Shift that uses a set of 127 characters and a strong system of error correction (10 bits). The allocated frequencies in HF band for this standard and included in this software, are the following: 2187.5, 4207.5, 6312, 8414.5 12577 and 16804.5 kHz. Perseus owners can use the new built-in "scanner" through the six frequencies above with the chance to use the "Live Plot" on the ham radio DX Atlas.
