RULES
of the radio marathon dedicated to the
World Football Cup 2018.
- This radio marathon is dedicated to the World Football Cup 2018 and organized by the national radio-amateur organization named SRR (Soyuz Radiolyubitelei Rossii).
- The SRR Organizing Committee consists of:
- Igor Grigoriev (RV3DA) – President of SRR;
- Eugene Glukhov (R4AS) – Diploma Committee of SRR;
- Aliy Kuisokov (UA6YW) – Special Event Station (SES) Co-ordinator.
- This marathon starts at 00:00 UTC June 1 2018 and finishes at 14:00 UTC July 15 2018, one hour before the final game.
- During this period a number of Special Event Stations will be active:
- SESs from Russia with suffixes dedicated to the final-stage countries - R18ARG, R18AUS, R18BEL, … ;
- SESs from Russia with suffixes dedicated to the cities where matches will take place - RC18EK, RC18KA, RC18MO;
- SESs from the final stage countries – SES with a suffix ***FWC or ***FIFA, and from other countries using a suffix ***FIFA.
- Other variations may be possible.
There are some countries where SES are not allowed. In such cases their radio amateurs may use other kind of call signs: either club or contest call signs. All these stations will be listed in the main SES list as well.

After finishing this marathon all operators of the above stations will be awarded memorable digital certificates.
- Radio amateurs all around the world are welcome to take part.
- There are 5 awards in honor of FWC-2018, listed below.

Applicants may work with any Special Event Station related to FWC 2018.

All QSOs must be made between:
00:00 UTC
June 1 2018
and
14:00 UTC
July 15 2018.
QSOs with the same station are valid either on different bands (160m, 80m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2 m, 70 cm) or on the same band – by any mode (CW, Phone, Digital).
Awards are issued in 3 classes:
Bronze – 100 QSOs
Silver – 250 QSOs
Gold - 500 QSOs.
Applicants may check their QSOs LOG .

AWARD “FOOTBALL 2018 - World”.
Applicants must work with at least 40 (forty) special stations from any FIFA member country.
Such stations have special suffixes ***FWC or ***FIFA.
Only one station is valid from each country.
Any 2 countries can be substituted by the special stations of the Organizing Committee RU18WC and R18REF.

Applicants must work with at least 20 (twenty) special stations from countries who are participants of the World Football Championship 2018.
Such stations have special suffixes ***FWC (sometimes ***FIFA).
Only one station is valid from each country.
Any 2 countries can be substituted by the special stations of the Organizing Committee RU18WC and R18REF.
All QSOs must be made between 00:00 UTC June 1 2018 and 14:00 UTC July 15 2018.
Bands: 160m, 80m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m, 70 cm) .
Modes :CW, Phone, Digital.

AWARD “FOOTBALL 2018 - Russia”.
Applicants must work with at least 25 (twenty-five) special Russian stations, each of which symbolizes the team participant of the final tournament of the World Cup 2018.
Any 2 countries can be substituted by the special stations of the Organizing Committee RU18WC and R18REF.
The twenty-five stations have the special prefix R18***:
