SOME RETROENGINEERING OF THE SIGNALS BROADCASTED FROM THE STARLING IP NETWORK Part 1

After the three inctroductory publications how to practically play easily receiving the Starlink satellite signals :

I have continue to improve to derive much more parameters .

To do this I first found the best possible low cost solution so receive the signals with the best avalability and C/N ( Carrier Noise ) possible with no tracking possible and even the worst conditions possible to have some receptions ,at least of the beacons, in very simple or broad conditions .

This accounts some strange and crazy architecture tested seen in the following pictures :

With a 90 cm dish randomly pointed , possible some times , for short time , of course high signals

Outdoor  45 degrees and zenith , possible easily , beacons .

Same 45 degrees as outdoor , same postion but impossible indoor , probably attenuation from double glasses , need more investigation

Small horn zenith , not bad .

Bigger horn at zenith , better signals , but less time of receiving .

Dipole . No way .

Log periodic pointed at the horizont . No way .

Log periodic pointed at the zenith . No way .

Open vaweguide .Not bad

Radar antenna at the horizont . No way .

Channel Master feeder for offset disches at the zenith . Good .

Channel Master feeder for offset disches at the zenith , Circolar polarization  : very good , the best  .

With cover to protect from moisture

Channel Master instruction for orthomode and circular polarization separation .

This one was the most effective solution .
I used a flange LNB with 10 GHz L.O.

This cleared the first question : what is the downlink circular polarization Left Hand or Right Hand ? .
If I am well interpreting the Channel Master instruction it is : Right Hand Circular Polarization ( RHCP) .

The first question to be solved was : the nine beacon carriers was coming from a cluster of nine near satellite od only from one satellite ?

This was cleared from using very narrow beam antennas , like the panel seen on the link or the 90 cm dish :

And his image that gave ( like the dish ) the quick images of nine carriers at the same time .

This means that the center carrier ir modulated with a senx/x pulse ( heart beat ) with a frequency that is the difference between the carriers .
Due to the doppler effect ( in this case around 1 kHz/s it is not easy to measure with precision this frequency ) .
I have done this demodulating some carrier beacons in AM , while passsing trough the maximun RF demodulated band of 192 KHz of HDSDR , like in teh following video .
In this case it is quite easy measure the carrier frequency of the modulation in the spectrum of the baseband , because this frequency will be steady ( in frequency , not in amplitude ) .
I have done this in the following two video , with a result near 44 kHz .

The mystery of the frequency around  60 KHz was after explained as an oversampling artifact .
The second armonic of 88 KHz , sampled at 96 KHz give an artifact at 104 KHz , that , beating with 44 KHz generate the carrier at 60 kHz .

I found that the frequency was very very near to 45/1024 MHz , as in the table ,with another measurements made from a very smart guy with name Oleg .
Ithink it it is not a case , but a very good sysyem to get clock sincronization .

To be continued .....
